If the SO or TP is in the state of “missing order”, it means that the order has not been opened on your exchange.
Example of missing safety order:
Example of missing take profit:
Missing orders can be caused by:
- Missing assets in your exchange (collateral)
- Invalid exchange API key
- SO or TP with prices not accepted by the exchange (too high or too low). If you set a price too far from the current price, then the exchange will not open your order.
- Order below the minimum accepted size
What to do?
- Make sure you have enough assets in your exchange. For example, if you are going long on BTC/USDT, make sure you have enough available USDT (this means free assets not allocated to any open order) on your exchange to be able to open new Safety Orders. If you are trying to set a take profit (meaning opening a sell order) make sure you have enough available BTC
- Make sure your API keys are valid or update your API keys. Check how to do it here.
- Review the SO or TP settings
- Increase your base order size
